Helen Nolan appointed as new IoD Ireland President

Helen Nolan appointed as new IoD Ireland President here

Helen Nolan, Chair Aviva Life & Pensions, was announced as the new President of IoD Ireland taking over the mantle from John Reynolds CDir, who has held the position for the last two years. Helen is currently a Non-Executive Director of US-listed fresh produce company Dole plc and of Companion Insurance DAC, where she Chairs the Audit Committee. 

In her executive career, Helen, a KPMG-trained chartered accountant, held several senior roles with Bank of Ireland Group, including Group Secretary (2009 - 2019) (where she was responsible for all aspects of board and corporate governance), Group Chief Internal Auditor and Divisional Finance Officer for the Capital Markets Division. 
 
Speaking about her appointment, Helen Nolan, President, IoD Ireland, said:

I am honoured to be appointed President of the Institute of Directors Ireland. As the commitment of being a director and business leader evolves and expands, with technological advances driving transformational changes in businesses, IoD will be there to support the needs and concerns of its members.'

Our ambition is for Ireland to be considered an exemplar of corporate governance. We will continue to instil stakeholder trust and confidence in organisations by educating, informing, and supporting directors and business leaders.'

Outgoing IoD Ireland President John Reynolds CDir reflected,
