Strategy for Experienced Directors

A board has a critical role in formulating and overseeing the execution of the strategy of an organisation. In this dedicated workshop, 'Strategy for Experienced Directors' participants will learn how to develop and adapt strategy depending on the conditions of the organisation. 

This workshop will also provide a guide for directors operating in unchartered conditions. Led by experienced Strategist and Chartered Director, Professor Simon Haslam CDir.

In this workshop, Simon will address hwo to mitigate risks and limitations and explore strategic decision making.

• Integrate Contemporary Strategic Frameworks: Explore modern models such as Doughnut Economics, OKRs, and 90-day sprints to align strategy with sustainability, agility, and performance. 
• Implement Strategy with Impact: Discover how to cascade strategic goals across teams, develop compelling narratives, and use tools like SOAP and roadmaps to drive execution. 
• Amplify Strategy Through Visualisation and Culture: Learn how to embed strategy into organisational culture using branded communications, digital dashboards, and strategic KPIs.

Eligible hours: 2.5 hours of Chartered Director CPD.

Cancellation and refund policy

Places can only be confirmed upon full payment. Cancellations and a full refund will be accepted if received in writing to cpd@iodireland.ie by 5pm on Wednesday, 4th November 2026. After this date, no refund will be possible, and all fees will be forfeited in the event of a cancellation or non-attendance. Please note this live and interactive series requires live attendance at each session. Unfortunately, recordings will not be available as part of post-session materials.
