Exercise is really good for the body, but it is great for the mind! Are you missing out??

At a time of year when summer is coming to an end, the kids are back to school, holidays are over for another year and that feeling that winter is looming around the corner, life can seem bleak and that feeling of the “hard slog” and sometimes mundane day to day life just creeps back into your mind, but don’t worry we know how to fix that and even better we know a place to go to fix that too.

Research has shown that exercise releases chemicals in your brain that make you feel good – boosting your self-esteem, allowing you to concentrate better, as well as sleep, look and feel better. All of that from something that we can easily do!

Leading an active lifestyle can help to improve your feelings of self-worth and foster confidence. Taking part in a form of exercise or group exercise that you really enjoy can give you a goal to aim for and a sense of purpose.

Taking part in physical activities can be a great way to meet people. It can also offer us the chance of taking a well-deserved break from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Some Benefits from exercise, apart from the improvement in your overall health:

  • Natural boost in energy
  • Better sleep
  • Improve in focus
  • Sense of achievement
  • Work out frustrations
  • Have fun
  • More active social life
  • Sense of belonging

So what do I need to do and where do I need to go?

Well the answer to that is easy, CrossFit! A place that has a structure that is easy to fit into your day,  coaches that show you what to do, with a program and guidelines already in place, mixed with a community element so positive it can sometimes outshine the exercise.

CrossFit is for everyone, it is a general physical preparedness program that is based on Intensity, as intensity is relative to an individual, we can exercise safely and in the correct environment but without overdoing it. With a design of fundamental movements we use the body how it was designed to move. The community aspect means we get to meet new, likeminded people, exercise under the supervision of highly trained coaches, and do things we thought may have never been possible.

CrossFit Green is the embodiment of what is outlined above, a fun community driven gym, with programs designed for multiple levels from beginner to athlete, a social calendar with regular monthly events and a state of the art, clean , professional facility.
