Leopardstown racecourse is a leading international racecourse and entertainment venue, offering world-class horse racing and a great day out.

Location and History
Located only six miles south of Dublin city centre, at the foot of the Dublin mountains, Leopardstown racecourse provides the fun and excitement of horse racing in a quality environment.

Completed in 1888, the racecourse was built by Captain George Quin and modelled on  Sandown Park Racecourse in England. The Horse Racing Board of Ireland (now Horse Racing Ireland) acquired Leopardstown in 1967. The track is situated in a 220 acre estate and is a left-handed oval track of one mile and six furlongs with an uphill finishing straight.

Race days at Leopardstown
Leopardstown hosts 23 race days including both National Hunt and Flat racing highlights. These include the famous Christmas Festival, Dublin Racing Festival, Bulmers Live at Leopardstown and Longines Irish Champions Weekend.

1888 Restaurant

The 1888 Restaurant offers a laid back modern charm situated on the second floor of the grandstand.  This central location is right in the heart of the action with views over the parade ring on one side and access to the grandstand and stunning race track views on the other.  Your table is yours for the day to enjoy thrilling racing,  A La Carte dining with full bar and waitress service.

 

The Pavilion

The Leopardstown Pavilion is the perfect location for hosting an external conference or meeting, product launches, lectures, gala dinners & media events, with a wide variety of set up options. The stunning two-tier Leopardstown Pavilion has a variety of entertainment options offering ultimate comfort and luxury with floor to ceiling windows adding beautiful natural light to the venue. The Leopardstown Pavilion can accommodate up to 1,000 guests at any one time, with complimentary Wi-Fi.
