Earlier today Leopardstown Racecourse and Bulmers Live at Leopardstown launched The Jennifer Wrynne Boutique Style Challenge in association with Irish Milliner and Designer Jennifer Wrynne. This fashion event is part of Leopardstown’s deliberate strategy to support and highlight Irish businesses in recognition of their contribution to both local employment and the local economy.
The Style Challenge will take place on the final four Thursday evenings of the Bulmers Live at Leopardstown Music and Racing Festival featuring The Riptide Movement (Thursday 20th July), The Stunning (Thursday 27th July), Sister Sledge (Thursday 10th August) and Happy Mondays (Thursday 17th August).
The Jennifer Wrynne Boutique Style Challenge is a ladies competition with a difference as it recognises that style reflects who you are on a particular day, whereas fashion is about following trends. Jennifer will be looking for that innate sense of style, whether it is a traditional race day outfit or a pared-down look that is comfortable but individually stylish.
Jennifer Wrynne commented: ”Style is about what is inside yourself, not necessarily following fashions or trying to be someone else. This Style Challenge is about that relationship between yourself and your clothes and how you make it work for you! We all remember Audrey Hepburn from the movie “Breakfast at Tiffanys” when she wore a simple black polo top, capri trousers, sunglasses and large hat and made it her own! I’m looking forward to seeing what this Style Challenge brings – hopefully we will all be inspired!”
Over the four weeks, there is a prize fund of over €3,000 to be won and each week, one lucky winner will receive a €300 voucher to spend at Jennifer Wrynne’s boutique at the Powerscourt Design Centre as well as one of her bespoke hats. There will be four weekly runner-up prizes including accessories and retail vouchers.
