Smith & Williamson Opens Second Dublin Office

Investment Management and Pension Planning team will be based in Herbert Street

The opening of the central Dublin office follows a period of robust growth in the year to 30 April 2015 for Smith & Williamson, which now has 13 offices in the UK and Ireland.

The firm has taken additional office space in Herbert Street from 12 October, which will supplement its base in Sandyford.  The expansion follows a year of strong growth across the business in Ireland.

The Dublin investment management and pension planning team, which currently includes 12 investment professionals and is led by Cedric Cruess Callaghan, directly manages approximately €450 million* of investments for Irish families and charities.

Commenting on the expansion, Cedric Cruess Callaghan said:

“This additional office in the heart of Dublin will mean we are very conveniently located for clients.  We are seeing a steady increase in demand for bespoke investment advice which is co-ordinated with tax and financial planning expertise for individuals and their businesses. The award-winning firm has two key divisions operating in Ireland - Investment Management and Banking, and the Tax and Business Services division. The firm reported strong results with an increase in group operating income to £215m (c. €291m equivalent*).

Funds under management and advice for the firm’s Investment Management and Banking division reached £16 billion (c. €22 billion equivalent*) as at 30 April 2015.
