Leprosy is mostly regarded as a “biblical” disease, but it is one of the neglected diseases of today, affecting hundreds of thousands of people across the world. It presents a variety of challenges most especially to those individuals affected by some form of social, economic, physical or psychological aspect of leprosy.  The Leprosy Mission Ireland works with the individuals and communities affected by leprosy in Asia and Africa, helping them to live a happy and fulfilled life.  Money raised through the sale of gifts at Christmas helps Leprosy Mission Ireland with their challenges across the developing world.
